These Terms & Conditions apply to the She Speaks Founding Membership. By purchasing a Founding Membership, you agree to the terms below.
1. YOUR FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP
She Speaks Founding Membership is a 12-month membership commencing on the date your membership is purchased and payment is successfully received.
The membership fee is £500 + VAT, payable in full at the point of joining.
Your membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred, shared or resold.
Founding Membership is a limited, one-time membership intake. Once the Founding Membership intake closes, no further Founding Memberships will be made available.
Your status as an original She Speaks Founding Member will remain after your initial 12-month membership period ends; however, continued access to ongoing membership benefits after the 12-month period will require an active She Speaks Membership.
PAYMENT BY INSTALMENTS
Where the instalment option is selected, the full Founding Membership fee of £500 plus VAT (£600 including VAT) will be collected in five monthly instalments of £100 plus VAT (£120 including VAT) through Stripe. Payments will be taken automatically on or around the 30th of each month using the payment method provided. By choosing to pay by instalments, you are committing to the full 12-month Founding Membership and all five payments. This is a payment plan and not a monthly membership that can be cancelled at any time, subject to your statutory cancellation rights. If an instalment is missed, cancelled or remains unpaid, all Founding Member access, privileges and benefits may be suspended until the outstanding payment has been received. Any remaining instalments will continue to be payable.
2. WHAT'S INCLUDED
During your 12-month Founding Membership, benefits include:
Priority and early access to selected She Speaks event tickets - 50% of tickets allocated to Founding Members
Preferential member pricing on selected She Speaks events
Access to the private Founding Members WhatsApp community
Member get-togethers
Access to 90-minute one-to-one sessions with selected She Speaks experts at Founding Member rates
Access to member-only events - mainly Surrey based
Access to selected brand partner offers and gifts
Enhanced goodie bags at selected events
Founding Member status
Specific benefits, events, partners, offers and experiences may change throughout the membership period and are subject to availability.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, event tickets, expert sessions, and other paid experiences are not included in the £500 + VAT membership fee and may carry an additional charge.
Membership does not guarantee tickets to any particular She Speaks event. Up to 50% of ticket capacity will be made available for priority booking by members, giving members the opportunity to purchase tickets before general release. Tickets remain subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. EXPERT ACCESS
Founding Members will be offered exclusive access to book selected She Speaks experts for 90-minute one-to-one sessions at preferential member rates.
These sessions are an additional paid benefit and are not included within the membership fee.
Availability, participating experts, subject areas and member rates may vary. Individual experts may have limited availability, and She Speaks cannot guarantee access to a particular expert.
Any advice or recommendations provided by an expert are their own professional views. Members remain responsible for any decisions or actions they take following a session.
She Speaks experts will cover areas such as PR, Marketing, Brand Visibility, Business Coaching, Social Media Skillset, and Branding.
4. EVENTS
She Speaks events are ticketed separately unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Membership may provide priority booking and/or preferential pricing on selected events, but does not guarantee availability.
Event dates, venues, hosts, speakers and content may occasionally need to change. Where this happens, She Speaks will communicate any significant changes to affected members.
Individual event bookings may also be subject to separate event-specific booking and cancellation terms.
5. MEMBER COMMUNITY
Founding Members will have access to a private She Speaks member community.
We want this to remain a genuinely useful, welcoming space for women to connect.
Members must not use the community for unsolicited selling, persistent self-promotion, spam or inappropriate behaviour.
We ask all members to respect the privacy of other members. Personal information, conversations, screenshots or contact details shared within the community should not be shared outside it without the relevant person's permission.
She Speaks reserves the right to remove a member from the community where their behaviour is considered inappropriate, harmful, discriminatory, abusive or significantly disruptive to other members.
6. BRAND PARTNER BENEFITS
From time to time, She Speaks may offer members benefits from selected brand partners, including discounts, gifts, invitations, product launches or experiences.
These offers may be time-limited, subject to availability and subject to the individual brand's own terms and conditions.
Brand partners may change throughout your membership and no specific brand partnership or monetary value of benefits is guaranteed.
7. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
Your Founding Membership is purchased for a 12-month period.
As the membership is purchased online, you may have statutory cancellation rights under UK consumer law. Where applicable, you may cancel within 14 days of purchasing your membership.
If you ask us to begin providing membership services during that 14-day cancellation period, for example by accessing member-only benefits, communities or services, this may affect the amount refundable if you subsequently cancel, to the extent permitted by law.
After any applicable statutory cancellation period has expired, the membership fee is non-refundable, except where required by law.
Cancelling your membership does not entitle you to refunds for separately purchased event tickets, expert sessions or other products or experiences. Those purchases will be subject to their own applicable terms.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.
8. RENEWAL
Founding Membership lasts for 12 months.
Your membership will not automatically renew unless we clearly tell you otherwise and you expressly agree to an automatic renewal arrangement.
Before your membership expires, we may invite you to continue as a regular She Speaks Member at the membership price and on the terms available at that time.
Your original Founding Member status remains yours, even if you decide not to renew your active membership.
9. MEMBERSHIP CONDUCT
She Speaks exists to create positive, welcoming spaces for women.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in cases of serious misconduct, harassment, discrimination, abuse, misuse of the member community or behaviour that materially impacts the experience or safety of other members.
Where appropriate, we will seek to address issues fairly before terminating a membership.
Nothing in this section affects any refund or other rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
10. PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will use your personal information to administer your membership, process your payment, communicate important membership information and provide the benefits associated with your membership.
We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.
Purchasing a membership does not automatically mean you have consented to receive unrelated marketing communications. Where required, you will be given the opportunity to separately opt in to She Speaks marketing communications.
We will not share your personal contact information with other members or brand partners for their own marketing purposes without an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, your consent.
11. CHANGES TO MEMBERSHIP
She Speaks is a growing community and the membership offering will continue to evolve.
We may make reasonable changes to membership benefits, events, partners, platforms and experiences during your membership period.
We will not intentionally make changes that materially reduce the overall core value of the membership without good reason, and we will communicate significant changes where appropriate.
12. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to your statutory rights, She Speaks is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control or for the acts, omissions, products or services of independent third-party venues, experts or brand partners.
